Meet Recent Purina Interns
Here's what it's like to work for Purina within Land O'Lakes, Inc.
"I was a Regional Feed Sales intern in the greater Chicago area, with a focus on the equine market. I interacted with equine barn prospects, current customers, feed dealers, and colleagues to collect information to better understand our selling environment. Supplemental to the market analysis, I was able to gain and participate in feeding trials and organize an educational event directed towards a group of local farriers."

"I was a Beef Intern for AgPro Solutions in Glendive, MT. I had the opportunity to create relationships with customers through mineral trials and cold calling. I also had the opportunity to assist in the planning of the first annual Badlands Classic Jackpot Show sponsored by AgPro. One of the most surprising things I learned during my internship was how effective it is to learn other’s communication styles, and adapt mine to compliment theirs."

"I was a feed sales intern for Purina. My time was spent making farm calls, identifying beef prospects in my designated area, and completing forage analyses. All of these tasks helped me gain so much valuable information about Land O’ Lakes/Purina, the beef industry, and the products and research Purina has done. Looking back, one of the most surprising things I learned was the amount of products Purina has to offer."

slide 3 of 3 "This summer, I interned at the Dayton Distribution Center (DC) and worked on expanding eCommerce. My project involved space allocation and consolidating packing processes for our various eCommerce channels: Mazuri, Tractor Supply, and Purina Mills. Before joining Land O’ Lakes, I had no idea the company sold exotic zoo feed. It was really interesting coming to the DC and seeing feed for practically every animal you can imagine, from rabbit feed to even elephant feed!"
