"I helped develop a proof of concept form that gives Winfield and Supply Chain teams a place to enter rebate contract details so that we can maximize our rebates. I was also working on an analytics dashboard for the Truterra Insights Engine. I was surprised how responsive and accommodating my teammates and leadership were; this was due to effective communication on their part from the very beginning. By setting the stage for my internship this way, I wasn’t nervous at all in asking questions or getting more involved in meetings and projects."

"I was on the Nutra Blend eBusiness team and had the opportunity to work on the Supplier Portal. I defined the project vision, gathered requirements, developed user interface in Mendix, wrote test scripts, and was involved in the pilot period. I also worked with Elanco, a supplier, to explore the idea of a supplier pop-up shop. And I was the project manager on an IT intern innovation project regarding employee engagement. I collaborated with people in marketing, communications, procurement, quality and development as well as external stakeholders throughout the business."

"My role was as a business systems analyst, and I spent much of my time gathering requirements for, and testing, the Power BI dashboard being created as part of the 2020 Dairy Data Optimization Project. I was surprised how many data sources Land O’Lakes connects to in order to make informed business decisions."

These reports were implemented into Power BI for stakeholders across the business to utilize. The most surprising thing I learned on the job was the degree to which a variety of experiences and backgrounds can lead to the same end point!"
